Spectrical
Timothy Allen a.k.a. Spectrical is a musician creating ambient, drone and experimental soundscapes in nipaluna, lutruwita / Hobart, Tasmania.
Tim began playing music at a young age, starting with the violin at five years of age and picking up the guitar in his teens. He began releasing music as Spectrical in 2012 with releases on netlabels Test Tube and CONV. These works focused on experimental sound design and recording techniques with the use of a contact mic and induction coil pickup, respectively.
Tim curates Perceptual Tapes and continues to create experimental ambient music mixing acoustic instruments, analogue and modular synths, field recordings, found sounds and digital processing.
